2023 Huacaya Alpaca of the Year – 4th Year in a row!

Auravale is delighted to announce we have won the Victorian Eastern Region Huacaya Alpaca of the Year – Lyla Fisher Memorial Trophy for the 4th consecutive year.
(This prestigious award was not awarded in 2021-22 due to the impact of Covid 19 restrictions on showing)

This years winner is Auravale Goldleaf Salvatore whom we share with Brett Fallon, Goldleaf Alpacas.

Lyla Fisher Memorial Trophy – Alpaca of the Year Huacaya
Inaugurated in May 2002.
Lyla was a foundation member of the Region and from the early ʻ90s to her untimely passing in 2002, was totally committed to the Region and to the Alpaca Industry, serving the Region in every possible capacity – a highly reputed alpaca breeder; show organiser and programmer; a dedicated committee member, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President and President. Her legacy lives on with us, through this award.

2018 Alpaca of the year was won by Goldleaf Vintage Burlesque
2019 Alpaca of the year was won by Auravale Lucian
2020 Alpaca of the year was won by Goldleaf Lyrical Song

As you can see our alliance with Goldleaf Alpacas has a significant impact on our herd success.
