Welcome to Auravale Alpacas, Llamas and Miniature Donkeys.

Auravale is a young and progressive alpaca, llama and miniature donkey stud located in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges just 45 minutes from the city of Melbourne.

Auravale is owned and managed by Lynda and Nic Holdsworth. It is a purpose built stud and runs around 50 alpaca, a few llamas and a small herd of donkeys on 20 acres of highly productive pasture.

Our aim is to breed alpacas with a gentle temperament, strong straight bodies and a silky soft lustrous fleece, exhibiting long thin staples and deep bold crimp and friendly; llamas that are friendly, keen to interact with people and enjoy being out and about; miniature donkeys that are well conformed, easy to handle and enjoy human interaction.

We are focused on producing stud stock for the serious breeder and hobbyist alike. We are members of the Australian Alpaca Association, Llama Association Australasia, Donkey All Breeds Australia and Donkey Society of Victoria. Our PIC is 3YRVP180 and we are a member of the Australian Alpaca Association quality assurance program – Alpaca CheQA 14/0434.
