Melbourne’s weather managed to finally stop raining and there was a light wind and sunshine for most of the day – perfect for the alpaca show!! Approximately 170 alpacas were shown and Auravale again won first prize and Reserve Champion for Auravale Gemina 6 – 12 month white fleece. We also won two second ribbons and three third ribbons. Shearing is scheduled for early November so no more shows for us until next year now. We look forward to seeing how Gemima and other cria fare in the show ring in 2014 – Gemima’s first fleece has had outstanding success placing first in every show entered.
