Glenburn Station Auction Sunday 17th, 2013

We attended the Glenburn Dispersal Sale today and we were delighted to see the highest price paid, was for a 2.5 year old solid white female out of Flowerdale Ardrossan (now jointly owned by Auravale Alpacas and Glen Park Alpacas) and Flowerdale Snowtino.

The female(Flowerdale Rossansnow) had a 2012 micron of 16.6 and SD of 3.7. Price paid was $10,500 – Congratulations to the new owner.

Flowerdale Ardrossan is an exceptionally dense, heavy cutting male bred from a dense family. His progeny are displaying this same trait and he is sure to make an impact on females requiring an uplift in density. Dr Jim Watts classed Ardrossan as a wool male and he is recomended for use in an SRSĀ® breeding program. His sire Windsong Valley Iceman is a two time National Supreme halter Champion and a two time National Supreme Champion fleece winner. Ardrossan won the Champion Commercial Fleece at the 2008 Canberra Show.

Pedigree background includes Purrumbeete Highlander, Purrumbeete Ice Star, Purrumbeete Brigantine, Purrumbeete Maid of the Mist, ILR El Sol and Windsong Valley Iceman.

If you would like to view Ardrossan or view any of his 2013 cria, give us or Glen Park a call.
