We were pleased to enter the Royal Melbourne Alpaca Show this year. The show was combined with the Royal Poultry Show and attracted visitors interested in alpacas. It was held as a colour show this year attracting over 70 fleeces and just under 200 halter entries. As usual it was lovely to catch up with the alpaca industry and see the superb alpacas being bred in Australia. We were delighted to win the Victorian Alpaca Youth (VAY) raffle prize of a lovely infinity scarf donated by Annkea Alpacas. The VAY competition run on the Saturday attracted lots of onlookers. Congratulations to TIckenhall Alpacas and Malakai Alpacas for achieving their Supreme Suri and Huacaya awards. Thank-you to the RASV and Royal Melbourne Show committee.
