National Alpaca Show, 2019

This years National Alpaca Show was held in Canberra and although this was a lot further to travel, we made the trek easily

It is always such fun to catch up with other passionate alpaca breeders around Australia and get the opportunity to view their alpacas. The National Show is held annually and is a great place to learn and experience all things alpacas – from animals, fleece, hide, meat, product and garments.

We were very impressed with the spread of Huacaya Champions this year and are delighted that we were one of them.

Champion Adult Huacaya Female- Goldleaf Lyrical Song (proudly co-owned with Goldleaf Alpacas) outshone her significant competition to come out on top of her class.

Other ribbon winners included
Auravale Questro (4th) and Auravale Don Quixote (2nd) in the huge Junior White Male Huacaya class,
Auravale Lucian (HC) in the Mature White Male Huacaya Class
Fleur De Lys Laurent (5th)(proudly co-owned with Walkley Fields Alpacas)in the Senior White Male Huacaya Class.

Thank you to the organisers, judges and volunteers for this years National Alpaca Show in Canberra. So much work and effort goes into the running of these shows and our association volunteers do a wonderful job in putting it all together.

Looking forward to next years show already.
