OPEN DAY- Sunday 13th May

Thanks to all who attended our Open Day.

The weather was not as bad as forcasted and we had many visitors who all seemed to enjoy getting up close and personal with the alpacas.

Thanks to Vermillion Fire Alpacas for all the beautiful wool and product which was also on show on the day.  You can still purchase some of the alpaca product, see Sales.

Yes we are having our first Open Day on Sunday 13th May in conjunction with Vermillion Fire Alpacas. All Undercover!

We will be open from 10.30 am to 4pm.

There will be lots of alpacas to look at, including our latest batch of babies – 20 of them!!

At 11am there will be a free talk:- Alpacas 101 – An Introduction to Alpacas.  The talk will cover general alpaca facts, selecting alpacas, care of alpaca and will be followed by a farm walk and hands on with the alpacas themselves.  The talk will be suitable for anyone interested in getting aquainted with these gorgeous creatures. Our farm is a purpose built alpaca stud so although it is still a work in progress we are happy to share what we have learnt in the last several years. If you are intested in attending the talk or the Open Day  – can you please give us a quick call or email and let us know – this will greatly assist us in planning for the day.  Thanks 0419334276 or Email

There will also be fleeces and wool on display.

A BBQ and drinks will be available with all profits going to InSight Peru, see below for more details.

We really do look forward to seeing you at Auravale Alpacas

InSight Peru -is an initiative of the Australian Alpaca Association

Following the success of 2010 a specialist medical team has just returned from a second visit to Peru to perform (amongst other procedures) life-altering cataract surgery on the disadvantaged people living in the Colca Valley. This year the team saw more than 700 patients, more than twice the number seen last year!
